Omega Seamaster 2848 ‘beefy lugs’

Omega first introduced their Ref. 2848 in 1956 in the international collection, this watch takes the attention due to the lovely gold capped casing with its beefy lugs. The serial number of the this watch dates it back to 1956 which makes it one of the first ones of this particular reference. The dial has obtained some lovely yellow patina which matches very good with the golden markers and hands. The watch houses a cal 491 automatic movement with subsecond hand. The gold capped stainless steel lugs are still in very good shape. The crown has been changed in a previous service. It has been serviced by our watchmaker and checked for correct accuracy and correct functioning.
