Rolex Datejust 1601 ‘Sigma Dial’

Rolex created the flagship Datejust in 1945, in celebration of the brands 40th Anniversary. The Datejust is just the perfect everyday watch. This particular reference 1601 with its white gold fluted bezel dates back to 1973.  The sunburst silver ‘sigma’ dial gives a clean look to it, ‘sigma’ means that the markers are white gold as well. The lume dots are the original Tritium ones and due to age have turned in a lovely orange colour. The beautiful batton hands have matching orange tritium.  The watch houses a cal 1570 automatic movement, which has been fully serviced. The stainless steel casing has been polished slightly polished before sale but is incredibly crisp condition. The watch has its original Rolex signed crown. The watch comes on an original Rolex Jubilee bracelet, this gives the watch the ultimate look. It has been checked by our watchmaker for correct accuracy and correct functioning.
