CONDITION REPORT
Rolex created the flagship Datejust in 1945, in celebration of the brands 40th Anniversary. The Datejust is just the perfect everyday watch. This particular reference 1601 with its white gold fluted bezel dates back to 1973. The sunburst silver dial gives a clean look to it, the dial is in great condition. It has no lume batton hands which match the no lume markers and the cool thing about them is noted at 6’oclock… It has two sigma signs, ‘sigma’ means that the markers and hands are white gold. A cool fact about no lume dials is that they were made mainly for the Japanese market as the government had strict laws to importing radioactive materials such as lume. That’s why they are also known as ‘Japan dials’Â The watch houses a cal 1575 automatic movement, which has been fully serviced. The stainless steel casing has been slightly polished before but is still in very good condition. The watch has its original Rolex signed crown. The watch comes on an original Rolex Jubilee bracelet which is still in very good but was once replaced by Rolex in service more particular in 1993, this was a common practice by Rolex when they saw that the original folded Jubilee bracelet was worn out. Another cool addition to this set is service papers from Rolex in 2019.Though don’t worry, it has been serviced and checked by our watchmaker for correct accuracy and correct functioning.
